Boosting Winter Warmth at Little Eden

Boost Juice Bars recently donated scarves and blankets to Little Eden Edenvale, in aid of the home’s ‘Winter Warmth’ campaign.

‘The Boost Juice team eagerly jumped at the opportunity to contribute towards Little Eden’s Winter Warmth Campaign this month, we sincerely hope that the 50 Boost scarves and blankets we donated go a long way towards keeping all those little fingers and toes warm in this extremely cold weather we are experiencing at the moment,” says Claudia Beacham, GM Boost Juice SA. “Boost Juice Bars were founded by a woman, Janine Allis, who because of her a passion for people and fuelled by a genuine care for their health and wellbeing created the nutritious, all natural and low fat products of Boost. It is the amazing love for life attitude adopted by Janine that makes our brand so special and why we endeavour to assist organisations like Little Eden who care for those who are not able to look after themselves because of an acute mental disability”; adds Claudia. Boost Juice Founder, Janine Allis, whilst on a trip to South Africa, personally presented the gift to Nichollette Zulu, Little Eden PRO at an event held on 02 July at The Mall of Rosebank.

The donation of the scarves and blankets were in part possible because of money collected in ‘tins for charity’ at the Boost stores. “Every cent collected in the tins contributed towards the purchase of the blankets for Little Eden. Boost patrons can be proud of the fact that their coins helped to ensure that these special children sleep very warm tonight,” explains Lyle Peters, Boost Operations Manager who, on delivery of the goods on 8 July, was greeted by Yanga, Shaun and Rowan, three children from the home. Lyle made quick friends with the three Boost-kuteers who soon boasted their very own Boost scarves and couldn’t wait to help hand out the rest of the scarves and blankets to their friends at Little Eden.
